Moet & Chandon Grand Vintage Bruté 2000 Champagne     R1300.00

A blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.  The beauty of this bubbly lies in its surprising flesh and the outright depth of character to its "water cracker" toasty edge and its mix of ripish fruit and impressive yeastiness. It could use a bit more vitality and bite as well as more  convincing bubbles, but those are minor quibbles on the whole.
